    Rawz: Return to dominance

Ok.. It has begun.. Im on week 3. Im going to use this thread to give updates on my progress, and hopefully recieve advice/ feedback/ support from all of you guys.

So to start, let me give you a quick background.

Since 17, I have been religous in the gym. 5 days a week. I started out very scrawny. I made myself eat, every 2 hours, regardless. I used to set my alarm at night to wake up to drink a protein shake. It worked, and i put on some quality muscle max.

fast forward to last year, march/april

Im at my peak. Im 215 pounds, and my max bench is an all time high of 405 pounds. (free weights, totally unassisted, full ROM) To give you an idea of how strong i was, this is what i would do on flat bench. (my strongest muscle was chest, but i was pretty well rounded)

    135 x 25, 225 x 20, 275 x 10, 315 x 6, 365 x 2.

I could do dips 6-8 reps with a 240 pound person sitting on the maching. (PIT SHARK) google pit shark to see what im talking about.

I would do military presses pyramding up to 245 pounds. I would warm up with 135 xx 20 reps...

    That was then...

I had some problems with work schedule, I went to nights, started to work somewhere else, longer commute, kids, etc, etc. etc.

1st. problem- I stopped working out.
2nd problem- My diet went to hell, and i had trained myself to eat every 2 hours, and i continued that.

End result- 1 year later, now, im a weakling... I have begun my resurgance....

    Where im at now..

im 3 weeks in to my new routine..

Man, i got weak. My soreness is finally over. On bench, i did 5 sets, 135 pounds. 20,16,12,10,10 reps pathetic.

On incline, i had to do 115 pounds, 10-12 reps, 4 sets... dips- 4-6 reps per set.

Man, this is going to be harder then i thought..

    Routine-
1 muscle group per day, per week.
chest, back, shouders, arms, 3 days off...

    Not doing legs yet..
    why?
    1. im only lifting for fun. I dont like legs, so not doing yet.
    2. Im trying to regain my passion first. Before, i lifted legs just for the test boost, and to get balance. I need to get my passion back, and that means making it fun again.
    3. I know how important it is, and will get back to it... I have 4 days off a week, cant workout on days i work. IM gone 16 hours a day on work days.
    4. Goal- to start legs about week 6-8 in routine. I will incorporate it then.

I do work them lightly, via hard core stretching.

    But.. thats where im at..

    Today is back day.

    comments and suggestions welcome.

So far, no supplements. Not even protien..

I figure my body is so shocked with the new work, it will grow like crazy...

so ill start protien in about 1-2 weeks...

Then ill add vitamins, and then possibly 4-6 weeks later, add a preworkout drink, or something...

back was a good workout today...
very weak still. 9 sets of pull ups---
3 sets wide behind the neck
    3 sets wide front
    3 sets reg
    2-3 reps each..

    PATHETIC..

but, i really felt i was working the muscle though.. tommorrow, shoulders/traps.

Hang in there bro...it will come back. I was out for 6 months but have been back hard for the last 3 or 4 now. I am making progress but still weak. The first month was the worst...but once I accepted the fact that I lost a ton of strength and muscle, I moved on. Each workout I try to improve. Good luck!

Good luck, Rawz! You'll get back to where you were, it may take a while, but if you keep at it, you'll surpass it.

What is this thing you call fail? Is it a different language i do not comprehend? I looked it up, but it does not seen to be in any of my resources. I am confused....

Oh, so then it's a positive connotation!

I'm not sure, though. I heard from some people it many be a negative connotation. I had alot of analogies to this, though: http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/m...eaglessuck.jpg
