Welcome all, just a little memory of me being a (10-13y) young man i'll share.

I was watching Celtics playoff game on tv (won't say which one/ruin story) with my father. My father never watched sports with me, he worked a lot. So this was rare, well the game was over.

Only few second left and Detriot Pistons have the ball, I am dejected, sad and my father looked at me and said, " It isn't over, you never quit. Leave it on. "

Then the voice of Johnny Most, " thrown in by I. Thomas!...now there's a steal by Bird!....to DJ!...DJ lays it in! It's all over!

My father looks at me and smiles, " see son, you never quit. "

A great teaching moment.... I learned a lot.

Yes it was!

It also was extra special because I got share that with my dad, I remember everything about that day. I even remember the blue in color coach we were sitting on and the smell in the room. Yeah...I'd say it was special...


Side Note- To anyone that doesn't have kids yet, maybe thinking of having kids, or will have children in the future, enjoy those momments with your kids.

I coach sports also, I love seeing my kids and others over coming fears/ challenges. They remember those times shared.

As I remember that great call.

Hello, Celtics fans. Just wanted to say hello and share my appreciation for this team.

Yes, I do like the Lakers. Yes, I like Kobe Bryant. And yes, when the Lakers won the 2009-10 championship I was happy.

But over the last 5 years or so, I've developed a liking for the Boston Celtics. When they won the 2007-08 championship (against 'my' Lakers), I was happy for Paul Pierce and happy for the team's return to greatness. Since then I've come to really like Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett as well and even played as the Celtics on the video games.

It's been hard to see the Celtics lose the last few years, but I think it's fair to say it's a joy to see them in the mix after a long period of stagnation. I hope they win a championship soon because when the team is playing good it's a great thing to see.

Thanks. I appreciate good basketball. Yeah, the Celtics are struggling. But like Rivers said, gotta keep trucking. The fans are always there, just gotta get things clicking. Maybe Bradley can get these guys going more consistently. I remember the "Let's Go Celtics" chant before game 7 went back to Miami.
