    The second link is the one I use for deadlifts and barbell shrugs. Notice there are two black round studs (I call them pegs) in the front of the rack. That's where I rest the barbell.
    Personally, if I was shrugging heavy I'd go in the cage (the first one) and adjust the safety bars to the point where you barely even have to lift it (unless you also want the 1Rep partial dead ) .. you could also do partial deads in the cage adjusting the safety bars for more or less ROM if you're into that.. although I just prefer going full out on deads... but I understand not wanting to take the squat cage for shrugs if thats the reasons, but it would definitely be safer and easier

    I use the second one as well, but i lift from inside the thing.

    I just put a couple of pads in there so the bar isn't hitting the sides when i shrug.

    I forgot...I had a PR this morning!!! It was for cardio though...its a PR since getting heavier anyway. I burned 400 cals in 18:35 on the elliptical this morning...smashing my previous record of 18:51.

    Thanks bro!!! Its a killer in the morning. My legs were burning from having the level so high and I really was breathing very heavy. Felt great though, I actually love doing cardio.

    i had my PR for flat bench yesterday

    230x2

    i could barely do 225 when i weighed 220

    now im 184 and did 230..so im pretty happy with that

    and BigGuy, running for an hour straight is great...ive def never done it lol
