You NEED to add Sepp Maier to this list, he is better than 90% of your list.

Also add Walter Zenga, Ray Clemence, Pat Jennings, and Rinat Dasaev,

Maier and jennings, yes, next round ( i forgot, but is not like if they were gonna win nmber 1 or 2)

    Clemence, dasaev, no.

    Zenga?

is that a joke? Zoff, Buffon, Pagliucca, Peruzzi, Toldo....... are for sure better just in italy, no odds at an all time top 10.

Some self control, i didnt put in the list some GREAT spanish keepers like araquistain, ramallets, iribar, arconada, valdes because of the same reason im not putting Zenga out there.

I gotta go with Casillas. He has already won so much and he just turned 32.

Zenga was better than Buffon, Pagliuca, Toldo and Peruzzi for sure.

And Dasaev should be on the list, don't judge him on 1-2 seasons at Sevilla just before he retired and after a relatively serious knee injury before that. Best GK of the 80s followed by Zenga.

Top 5 per decade, in this order:

60s Lev Yashin, Gordon Banks, Gilmar, Guyla Grosics, Jose Iribar
70s Dino Zoff, Sepp Meier, Ubaldo Fillol, Ron Hellstrom, Jurgen Croy
80s Rinat Dasaev, Walter Zenga, Peter Shilton, Harald Schumacher, Jean-Marie Pfaf
90s Gianluca Pagliuca, Peter Schmeichel, Oliver Kahn, Andoni Zubizarreta, Jose Luis Chilavert
2000s (2000-2009) Gianluigi Buffon, Iker Casillas, Francesco Toldo, Petr Cech, Edwin van der Sar

Rinat Dasaev, 44 clean sheets in 91 appearances with the Soviet Union. Anyhow, I'm voting Zoff here in order to prevent a travesty but Dasaev should be at least #3.

damnit crooner all that editing in the last thread...

    voted for Zoff here

also, do we really need 30 options? seems like a redundant overkill if you ask me... only 3-4 players will legitimately have a shot each time and so many of these guys won't even be voted once in the top 10

I was going to vote for Zoff, but then I took a look back at Casillas, Buffon and Zoff's careers and Casillas had already done and won more than Zoff by the time he was 30. Zoff's career didn't really take the next step until he was around 30.

Winning cups isn't really a fair way to judge a keeper there is so much that goes into the game that's out of their control more so for them an anyone else

you dont get a lot of shots against you when you have iniesta, busquets, alonso and xavi in your midfield and control possession. that's how valdes won a bunch of zamora awards in row

Like any of us couldn't find videos for any of these keepers and say the same. Come on man your better than that. You cant rest your case on listing cups won and youtube. theyve all won things and have great highlights. No one said he isn't a great keeper but I don't see him as the second greatest.
