    Definitely. It's a mixed bag of genres but there are some prominent sci-fi elements, at least I'd consider it one.

    Surprised not a lot have said The Matrix... it was pretty huge back then.

    Blade Runner and Alien are probably my two favorites. I also love 2001, obviously.

    I've never gotten the obsession with Star Wars, I don't know. But anyways, I think that's more fantasy than sci fi.

    I like Star Wars, but think the entire franchise was ruined with all the prequels and how Lucas toyed with the originals.

    I never thought they were anything epic though and wouldn't really call them sci-fi either. Movies like that an LOTR should be considered fantasy.

    So bad that you can't stop watching "Day of the Lepus" (mutant rabbits) made in like 1974 the story is as bad as the acting. Still funny to watch
