You should check out www.bodylastics.com
The elastic bands a real high qualtiy and you can get a lot of resistance out of them. Its a cheap alternative for working out at home.

I have looked at this for a while too. Always wondered but it's a heavy pricetag. Coture and the other guy in that commercial look huge but you know that's not all they are doing to get that size.
Rubber bands can be really effective though. Since I had a machine without cables I used the ropes an when used right they can be effective. Especially for flies and what not.
