Update: With college graduation nearing, I have been really busy and not very inclined to update, though I have been training. With summer approaching, I decided to go on a cut. After failing miserably at a low carb diet, I decided to just focus on eating less calories. I am in my 2nd week and still doing 5/3/1. Strength has actually been pretty good, though it has been less than 2 weeks so I am expecting a bit of a decline in the future.
I still plan to do one probably right after summer after i am done cutting. I hope I can join the powerlifting gym that is near me, though there is no way I am paying over $100 a month, so i need to haggle em.
Knees are feeling better than ever tbh. Knee wraps were probably the reason why my knees were hurting all the time. ever since i stopped using them, my knees have been feeling great. Did 315 x 5 ATG squats. I will still use knee wraps, but im only going to use them when going really heavy.
That's good. And yeah I would like to join a strength gym too (especially one that has olympic lifters too as I want to learn those lifts someday) but it's expensive and nothing too close to me right now so overcrowded gym with hex plates it is for the time being.
Why still use knee wraps at all instead of just progressing raw? I mean I guess there can be a little carry over squatting with wraps to your raw squat just from handling the extra load but is it worth it if it bugs your knees?
