Ye its high it protein and good quality fats and fibre. PB&J sandwich is actually pretty good before working out, the jam has the suger spike you need, the bread has the complex carbs, and the peanutbutter has the protein to stop catabolism.

Eating peanut butter isn't going to make you ripped. It certainly wont hurt, but you have to do the exercises necessary.

Exercises are good for getting your abs ripped.

yes there are healthier ones then others! You should definately try and get peanut butter with Omega-3!

Peter pan, jif, and others are not as good for you as you might think. Most are very high in fat and carbs and low in fat.

smart balance is really good for you and high in good carbs, and protein. Omega-3 is very good for you and you should look out for it when buying peanut butter!

Agreed with Corey. Protein is good for developing lean muscles providing you have a good workout regimen. However, displaying abs on the beach will not be easy unless your diet is on point and you are ding a fair amount of cardio.

Go for organic peanut butter. Skippy, Jiff and all of them are not all that great for you because they have a lot more of the butter part than most think. I go to Whole Foods where they have a peanut butter machine there that makes it in front of you. Or go to Trader Joe's or look for the organic peanut butter at major markets. If you taste organic and then taste the normal stuff from stores, you will notice a big difference.

Skippy Natural is my favorite. Peanut butter is a staple in lots of body building diets, especially when we are eating a very low fat diet. It has healthy fats, the only problem I see is that people that are already eating higher amounts of fat, adding peanut butter is overkill. If you want abs you need to have a sound diet and dont go overboard.
