    Fiftieth anniversary season of AFL

Isn't it interesting that this year's Super Bowl is being played by two teams from the old National Football League? And that the last old American Football League team not from New England to win it all was the 1998 Denver Broncos?

It gets worse. After the Patriots teams of the 2000s and the Denver squads of the 1990s, you have to go all the way back to 1983 for the last time an old AFL team won a Super Bowl. No reflection on the AFL itself, but I find it all curious.
Of the three NFL teams that moved to the AFC after the 1970 merger. Pittsburgh has won six Super Bowls, the Colts have won two, and the Baltimore Ravens (technically the franchise that was once the Cleveland Browns) won one.

I remember when Denver won. It was the first AFC win in the SB in like 17 years or something crazy.

Irrelevent, they are all only NFL teams now, and I don't care where they were. They are what they are now, not because of their past but because of their current ownership and management.
