A lot of Ovechkin's game is based off of getting the puck on net. People knock him in that regard, but the scary thing is he is still a threat to score no matter where he shoots from. Because of that reason, he is able to draw attention and the puck being thrown on net (if he doesn't score) can often provide a juicy rebound.
With that said, Semin does have a sick shot. But Ovechkin definitely puts the puck in the net with amazing consistency.
right! as i said he shoots way more often, getting pucks to the net will obviously let you score better. Semin has a more wicked shot, he can score from almost anywhere but you are right, with the fact that Ovechkin draws more attention than Semin because he is more of a threat.. But i see Semin as a really good threat that teams must look out for too..
