Do you like your stadium name??

Over the years there have been some great names to Iconic stadiums and arenas accross this country of ours. I could name:

    Joe Robbie
    Rich Stadium
    Candlestick Park

And you would instantly know which 3 teams I'm talking about. For those that are more attuned to the love'em and leave'ems names, that would be the dolphins, bills and 49ers

Well yet again another stadium is changing its name in order to get the almighty revenue dollar..

The Miami Dolphins are yet again changing their name ( thank god as the new one was nothing to wirte home about )
    Joe Robbie Stadium (19871995)
    Pro Player Stadium (19962004)
    Dolphins Stadium (20052006)
    Land Shark Stadium (2009)

Is now going to be named after sun life financial...At least it's the sunshine state

If they don't like this name they can always change it again but when is enough? Ralph Wilson has names the stadium after himself getting away from corporate naming rights and Lambeau feild has been well... Lambeau since 1957.

Again I say when is enough enough with changing the names and naming rights?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Raymond James Stadium. Hell yeah, sounds very Pirate-ish

Charlotte Bobcats - Time Warner Cable Arena. its ok. I love the stadium, the name is alright.

Tampa Bay Rays - Tropicana Field. LOVE it. GREAT name for a Florida based baseball team.

Atlanta Braves - Turner Field. Classic.

    Wake Forest Demon Deacons

(Football) BB&T Field at Groves stadium. Its alright.
(Basketball) Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Gotta respect the Vets
(Baseball) Gene Hooks Stadium. I like it for some reason. Sounds rich guy-ish.

    Florida Gators -
(Football)Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Classic. Better known though as THE SWAMP
(Basketball) Stephen C. O'Connell Center. Eh. Whatever.
(Baseball) Alfred A. McKethan Stadium. Sounds Gator-ish. Yes.

When I think of Ford Field I just think of the idiot who kept Matt Millen even after there were organized protest at the games and outside the stadium asking for him to be fired, and the owner that has owned the Lions since 1964 and has produced one playoff win.....

...So i guess no I don't like it.

Im a boston fan (orriginally grew up there) and i love the names of of the stadiums there.

    Fenway -- classic
TD Banknorth 'Garden' -- atleast they have the garden in it --- i dont know anyone that calls it TD Banknorth 'Garden' not just the garden
Gillette - I dont mind it.

    Cincinnati:

Paul Brown Stadium: I love stadiums that dont sell out to corporate sponsorships...gotta love naming the stadium after a true inevator of football.

Great American Ball Park: at first glance its a great non-corporate name but its actually an insurance company here in Cincy...but eh it passes as a good name. *** although riverfront was a sweet name and what history....
props to dogersuck for the sig

    I miss the Vet.

Understadium jail, in-house court system, and throwing snow-balls at Santa.

Just looked it up, yeah its going to be called Meadowlands Stadium. Surprising since I've heard everybody just calling it the New Giants stadium.

I really like the names as of now in pittsburgh:

Mellon Arena - Pittsburgh based bank
PNC Park - sounds good and a Pittsburgh based bank
Heinz Field - sounds good and a pittsburgh based company...I personally think they should have named it Rooney Field or something since the Rooneys are one of the founding families in the NFL

But the Penguins new arena which opens next year will be called the Console Enery Center which sounds terrible to me. It sucks, and they signed a 21 year deal.
