    Clay Matthews vs. Brian Orakpo

Just wondering who you guys think will become the better pass-rusher, and put up the most sacks over the span of their careers? They are the top two pass-rushers in terms of sack totals from 2009's rookie class, and they've put up similar numbers. An argument could be made for both, and I personally believe they're going to be great players.

    Clay - 51 tackles, 10 sacks, 1 FF, 3 FR, 1 TD.

    Brian - 48 tackles, 11 sacks, 1 FF.

I think Orakpo will be great while Matthews will be at about the level Hawk reached.

Matthews has a bigger ceiling in terms of Sack numbers.

OLB in 3-4 will obviously get more sacks than OLB in 4-3.

Orakpo will probably have more FF's and Tackles though. Orakpo is probably more complete. But that's not a knock on Matthews, just he's more a pass rusher.

Then again I haven't seen either of the guys play so I can't really back it up.

That's why i made this thread. I haven't seen Orakpo play, but on draft day i wanted him so bad it hurt. haha. When we took Raji I was a bit disapointed because i wanted a great pass-rusher, but we ended up getting a pretty awesome one anyway.

Mind you Orakpo started the first half of the season playing a position he never played in College. Taking this into consideration, Orakpo's numbers are good plus he's an obvious homer pick for me.

Both good but Orakpo's stats this year show how good he can be and already is, I'll go with Orakpo
