    Some notes:

Jose Theodore appears set to start tonight at MSG tonight as the Caps look to extend their franchise-record winning streak to 12 games. The veteran goalie has been a big part of the team's recent success, winning a career-best eight straight games while posting a 1.93 goals against average and a .944 save percentage during that time.

The rest of the lineup appears to be the same, with Quintin Laing and Karl Alzner sitting out once again as the healthy scratches.

interesting that BB is keeping Alzner on the bench. Is this to not disrupt the current mojo of the team? Wasn't Alzner on the ice when this winning streak began? I thought the reason they sent him down was so he would qualify to play for Hershey over the Olympic break. Having done that, we don't have room for him on the ice right now (can we get rid of ShaneMo already!!!)? Very interesting, IMO, but I often look too far into things and over analyze....

IMO Alzner's value has continually gone down the past couple of years(hockeysfuture's rankings-wise) and I'm just not too sure about his future anymore. John Carlson seems to be the prospect that is generating the most buzz/hype nowadays...for good reason.

To me it seems like a lot of the situation with Alzner revolves around current guys being here. He gets his PT when available, but there are a bunch of guys clogging up the defensive lines. I think next season he will be with the team the entire season.

How are we still in this game?

    Oh that's right, Ovechkin.

Awesome win last night. When it was 5-3 it seemed like the Rangers had our number especially against our PK, but then this team turned it up a notch.

Such an exciting group of guys.
