    Past Jays: Kevin Gregg

Anyone else noticing what Gregg's been quietly doing with the Cubs since being called up on Apr 16?

Why couldn't we have gotten this version of him????? Fluke or legit, he's putting up some amazing numbers!

He did give us good numbers. He gave us a 0.8 WAR in 59 innings with a 3.51 ERA, 3.57 FIP and striking out two for every one he walked. He was always a good reliever up until his last two seasons with the Orioles and Marlins.

He's only pitched in 22 games so far this season, and his K/9 and BB/9 are much better than in the past 7-8 years. Maybe he figured something out, but he may very well regress back to what he's been for most of his career as the sample size gets bigger.

Not everyone is going to have their career years while wearing a Blue Jays uniform. It's just something we must accept and move on from.

I have no complaints with our current bullpen. I hope Gregg continues with his current success with the Cubbies.
