How did we manage to gain Kristo? I was living in the South during the 2008 draft and as focused on getting transferred back home. There wasn't much hype about this kid, was there?

I can't remember the exact details but he was a 1st Round talent who dropped to the 2nd round because he fully comitted himself to North Dakota(meaning he's there at least 2 years but will likely stay for 4) and at one point he was projected to go in the Top 20 of the 08 Draft.

I remember Pierre McGuire said he was a Mike Richards clone. Of course, seeing as it's Pierre McGuire, I took it with a grain of salt since he over-hypes everyone who gets Drafted(he said they'll have to re-name the Norris Trophy the Bouwmeester Trophy because Jay Bouwmeester was going to win it more then Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque combined). But everything I've ever read about him has backed up the Mike Richards comparison.

Danny Kristo picked up 3 shots and a -1 in USA's 5-2 win over Sweden yesterday.

Maxim Trunev picked up a goal, an assist, 2 PIM, 1 shot and a +2 in Russia's 4-3 loss to Finland yesterday.

Joonas Nattinen picked up an assist, 1 shot and a -2 in Finland's 4-3 win over Russia yesterday.

Danny Kristo picked up an assist and 2 shots in the Gold Medal game. Sort of a bitter sweet feeling with Kristo having such a good tourny.
