Kristo won't see much time, if any, in the AHL. He had a real good game (TiVo'd during the Toronto onslaught).

He might pull a Brock Trotter/Kyle Turris and sign his Entry Level contract when the University hockey season ends in February/March.

Danny Kristo recorded 2 goals, 8 shots and a +1 in the USA's 12-1 win over Latvia.

watching the Russia-Sweden game right now before the Canada-Slovakia and Trunev is playing pretty good. He's on the Russian Top powerplay and sits in the slot right by the crease and never has his back to the play.

Joonas Nattinen had 2 PIM, 3 shots and a -2 in yesterday's 7-1 loss to Sweden.

Maxim Trunev picked up an assist, 1 shot and an Even in yesterday's 5-2 win over the Czechs.

Danny Kristo picked up a goal, 5 shots and a-1 in yesterday's 5-4 SOL to Canada(he also scored a shootout goal).

On a sidenote, Kristo has a very quick release and is a smooth and quick skater. He is definitely looking like a true NHL talent.

Kristo's been the best player of the games I've seen.

Hands down. Nattinen's impressed me with his passing but he's really green and Trunev plays on the Top Russian PP unit but for some reason he's on the 3rd/4th line during even strength play. But Kristo has been great, his shot is fantastic, can't wait to see him in a Habs uni in a few years.

We need to send USA Hockey a big "thank you" for NOT selecting any of our players (who are better than some of the stiffs they picked). My Yankee girl friend has already wagered that the US knocks off Canada in the Olympics with that line up.

I don't know what it is but I'm just not impressed with the USA team. Outside of Miller, Erik Johnson and Parise, I'm not all that sold on them as a team.

I can understand why Gomez didn't make it but Gionta's been nothing short of fantastic this year when he's played. He'd of made a great leader and is one of the few true American-born snipers in the NHL.

T.J. Oshie is a player with a tremendous upside. If the Blues are serious about their fire sale, for a couple of picks we could grab this kid. The US team should help grow his skills.

Burke has already said Miller is best goalie, one of the few times I agree with him, but I'd love Timmy! Timmy! Timmy! Thomas to get the start in goal. He cashed in and appears to have reverted to mediocre play.
