I think Nicks is better but that's because I tend to side with big wide receivers as opposed to small ones when there is a close call, Nicks is a number one in the making I'm not sure if Maclin is
Patriots Forum Hall of Fame Class of 2011
Percy harvin rookie of the year!!!!!
Maclin out of these two.
This thread's hilarious considering the only votes really being handed out are coming from Giants fans voting for Nicks and Eagles fans voting for Maclin, nobody has even stated why Nicks is even better than Maclin yet too!
Nicks has proved this year that he's basically an all around really good wide receiver. Everybody knew of his great size (very similar to Anquan Boldin), soft hands and very good route-running abilities coming into the draft. The big question for him that ended up leading to his fall were that scouts thought he was too slow to have an impact as a receiver that could stretch the field. Nicks has already proved those doubters wrong with a tremendous 17 yard average and several deep plays made in limited playing time. So basically it's been proved that the sky's the limit for Hakeem Nicks already. Maclin on the other hand hasn't been able to address the problems that made him fall in the draft: hands and route running. Unlike Nicks, Maclin really struggles with placing his body in front of NFL cornerbacks on simple routes like slants that made him so successful in the NFL. Right now Maclin's making a living off of comebacks and drags (which I have no problem with), and he still has a lot of potential in the future. But if we're going to take the better receiver now, you'd be dumb not to take Hakeem Nicks.

Both have looked pretty good considering they're rookies. Nicks has ridiculously huge hands and he's just a natural catcher, and Maclin is just more of a playmaker with the YAC. I don't know who I think is the better of the two.
maclin had one heck of a playoff debut. only eagle on offense who really showed up.
what now?
I think Nicks by a tad.
Nicks has the potential to be the #1 guy in NY, Maclin will be overshadowed by Jackson as long as theyre both in Philly.
