How do teams decide where to stay while on roadtrips?

This may be a mundane question, and maybe nobody other than the team knows.

But this site supposedly has where the teams of the NL east stay in various cities.

    http://travel.ballparksofbaseball.com/nleasthotels.htm

I noticed, between these 5 teams, they stay at 3 different hotels:
St. Louis Hyatt Regency (same as the St. Louis Hyatt Union Station I believe)
    St. Louis Westin St. Louis
St. Louis Hilton at The Ballpark

But with other cities, like Chicago, all 5 picked:
    Chicago Westin Michigan Ave

I'm kind of wondering how teams pick hotels. Does the team pick hotels randomly, or do they go through a careful selection process before picking one? Do the Braves always stay at the Hyatt Regency when in St. Louis?

Just wondering if anybody knows how the team hotel is picked.

I know it's a boring question. Just wondering.

Also, where the other teams stay

I'm sure they have a person that gets all that done early such as arranging hotel rooms and so forth.

Each city that has a team (NY, Boston, Florida, ect) has one or two "team hotels" and that's where the away team stays. For instance, the Marlins one road trip stayed in one hotel when playing the Braves then a month later when they came back they stayed in another hotel. So basically there are a few hotels per city designated for an away team to stay at and they stay in one or the other. (as to which one they choose out of the options, I dunno.) I've personally stayed at the team hotels with the team in Atlanta (both), Washington, and Philly and I have been inside the one in Arizona with one of the players but didn't stay there.

I'm pretty sure they can stay anywhere, as long as it's at least a 4 star hotel. It's like a stipulation that the MLBPA arranged in the CBA I think.

As far as where they decide to stay, I'm sure it's just a matter of where they've stayed before and wherever they have the best relationship with a certain hotel staff.
    Perfection.
