Alright Mr. Dunn we are willing to pay up for you.

Nationals offer a 4 year deal worth 44 million dollars (11 million per year), with a limited no-trade clause of 8 teams of your picking that you would not want to be traded for.

We feel this is a very generous offer, and you still get to play in the field. You will also become an immediate fan favorite now that Zimmerman is no longer with us. We feel that with our rotation that is loaded with potential, and Harper on the way that you will be a nice part of our offense going forward.

We also think you would be hard pressed to find a better deal than this on the open market, so we feel the deal is beneficial to both of us. You get more money and a sense of security for 4 more years in the same area.

The Cubs 2010 payroll sat at $144,359,000, I don't think we should be lowering our payroll 6.5%. I think the Cubs should have a limitation of 145 million if you expect us to get back to the playoffs again.

Zimmerman not being around is a negative to me, not a positive. I'm gonna test free agency.

The Houston Astros request a payroll raise from our current 80M payroll to a more reasonable 90M payroll. The Astros haven't spent less then 87.7M on payroll since the 2005 season, and went as high as 103M in 2009. With the Rangers in the WS in 2010, the entire state of Texas is more excited about baseball heading into 2011. Our attendance should improve over 2010 thanks to our counterparts in Arlington. The Astros also have payroll obligations to former players of almost 10M dollars, so this raise would make up that difference and help us to be more serious players in the FA market.

The Yankees current payroll is 195 million. Our team salary sits at around 145 million right now. We find it unrealistic that we will be able to re-sign Jeter,Mo and Andy P(apprx. 40 million to re-sign them) and then still sign other FA's that are obviously needed to improve this team. Therefore we request that, for the sake of winning, you increase our payroll to 230 Million. This is a 15 million increase from our payroll last year, we know this seems like a lot but we know this franchise wants to win, and our current budget just does not allow enough room for that.

    Dear Bank,

We at the Baltimore Orioles organization are asking for a 15 million dollar payroll raise. At the current budget of 60 million, we feel that we aren't given a fair shake for an opportunity to take down the Goliaths of the Yankees and Red Sox. The Orioles are one of the most storied franchises in the MLB and we feel that once we are able to compete with the big boys, the AL East will truly be a 5 team division. Could you imagine the Yankees and Sox, competing with each other, AND competing with the up-and coming O's and Blue Jays with the dangerous Rays lurking in the wings. That would be one hell of a division.

On another note, we believe the 60 million that was initially given to us was on the relatively low end because in the past decade we've only had a payroll lower than that once which was in 2004. From 2005-2010, our average payroll was about 74.67M which is why we feel that increasing our payroll to 75M would be sensible.

    Thanks,
    Baltimore Orioles' Organization
