My dad was born and raised in Wisconsin and most of that side of the family is still there, so Wisconsin was always my favorite Big Ten team until this year. Good luck this season, hope we meet in December for the big one!
Sounds like a closet Badgers fan to me...

Congrats on the win, Russell Wilson is for real. Our dumbass coaches trying to make Martinez into a passer while abandoning the running game helped make this a lot worse than it should have been. Hope we get you again this December on that neutral field in Indiana.

That was a beatdown. I know it will be the same when you guys come to Champaign but I am definitely going to see it in person. Good luck the rest of the way.

Not sure if you guys have read this yet, but ESPN writer Ivan Maisel wrote a piece blasting UW for recruiting/playing Wilson. He compares it to the (s)Cam Newton situation.

I personally don't understand why the NCAA allows pro athletes to play college sports. Ohio State lost a bunch of players that got paid a lot less than Russell Wilson made this past summer. It just might get Wisconsin a national title though.

Wilson had to do something with that money to be eligible to play I believe. I heard something about this earlier in the season.

He had to give back a percentage of it, but it's all just for show. He said the agreement he has with the Rockies is between he and they, meaning they will give him back the money after football season. I don't understand why pro athletes are allowed to compete in college sports. The NCAA is a sham. I'm not picking on Russell Wilson here, this applies to all of the others as well.

It doesn't matter to me. If you can find the loophole to do it, do it.

I suppose it's probably because he had graduated from school already. How is it much different from him going to work in an office setting? He wasn't playing pro football either which may or may not make a difference. I'm not completely familiar with the rules, but it's obviously within them (very much unlike many other things that have transpired recently).

Appreciate your comments on the forum so far but I think the UW D had a lot more influence on the game plan change from run to pass. They eliminated the run and forced Martinez into a passing game. Was a great game though, looking forward to the rest of the season.

Chris Weinke was 28 years old when he won the Heisman at Florida State.
