I prefer using a Chrome extension to do the same thing (also works for videos). This extension I'm gonna link you to simply adds a download button underneath the video on YouTube. It also gives you the choice of whether to download audio or video and also what quality you want to download it in (360, 480, 720, 1080, etc.).

Very handy.
