    Cabrera or Sandoval?

Miguel Cabrera or Sandoval? Who would you rather have?

And please, Giants fans don't even vote because you guys are homers and you will completely analize these polls.

No, I will vote. I'm completely reasonable.

Miguel Cabrera is 26 years old. Pablo Sandoval is 22 (might be 23, his birthday's around here).

    Miguel Cabrera has this:

    09:$15M, 10:$20M, 11:$20M, 12:$21M, 13:$21M, 14:$22M, 15:$22M

Even if Cabrera produces a bit more, there's no way you can take him with that big of a contract when Sandoval has 4+ years of nothingness.

So? Swinging doesn't equal missing. How do you think he has a high average? High contact rate.

I will take the guy that has proven he will perform year in and year out (even though he's only 26). Cabrera.

Talent wise, it isnt even close in Cabrera's favor. But factoring in position, age and contract, it gets closer. Still probably Cabrera.

Even though Sandoval has only done it for one year?

If the Tigers came to you and offered Cabrera for Sandoval straight up, are you seriously going to tell me that you wouldn't do that deal?

That's cool and all but his average is only .002 better, his OBP is worse, his slugging is worse, he hits for less power AND he's only done it for one year....how is this even a comparison?

But so far this year he has been woth over 16 million. So its not a bad contract if your tea, can afford. Isnt that what you guys are always arguing about Rios? Cabrera has went over the 22 million mark twice, so he could do it again, he's only 26.

I take Cabrera without hesitation I love the homers in here. I can see the argument but, there is no shot I am taking one great year over a guy who has done it year in and year out at a high rate of production.

Of course not, I don't want to add on that contract. That's a shitload of money.

Yes, so take 15 million away from Cabrera's contract. For him to be worth more than Sandoval he needs to be almost worth 15 million more in production. Oh, and Sandoval's also worth 16 million.

So you're looking at the same type of production from a guy 4 years younger and almost 20 million dollars cheaper.

FanGraphs did a series on the most valuable players in all of baseball. Sandoval was ranked 51st, Miguel Cabrera didn't make the list.
