    Sample size.
While i'm confident that Pablo is for real, there's no evidence that these 3 months of David Wright's season are here to stay, and David Wright's previous seasons have been beast and it's reasonable to expect that he's gonna put those numbers again. You can't choose a player based on half a season.

And how the hell does he has more power potential?

    3) Cheap contract.
    4) Pablo's a switch hitter with tons more power potential.
    5) He can play catcher.

How the **** is Pablo overrated? He's having a way better year than Wright.
    1. Wright is 26, Pablo is 23 in less than a month. Try 3 and a half years.
    2. Wright's power numbers are down, but everything else is fine. It's not like Sandoval is knocking out of the water
    3. Wright isnt making much at all. Def less than 10 million a year
    4. Switch hitter is nice, but Sandoval's power potential is what? 30 Homers? Wright has already reached that plateau in previous years.
    5. Oh good, then he can be worn down from playing the most difficult position. You seem to ignore that Wright is a GG 3rd Baseman, while Sandoval only plays 3rd cause they have no where else to put him.

People go by the Prince Fielder rule, and if they look big, they must play big. Too bad Sandoval is a contact hitter first (not that there is anything wrong with that).

I voted Pablo based on the simple fact that sample size means nothing.

Is it too early for me to start the Buster Posey vs Joe Mauer thread?

This is a little crazy. Wright has been a really good player for 5 years now. Sandoval doesn't even have 5 months under his belt.

    Fixed.

And how is he overrated you ask? For the reasons you listed, as well as typical Giant homerism(not by all).

Even with Wright having a down year, it really isn't close. Maybe if Pablo does this for three more years, then he'll be the guy.

Anyone who votes for Pablo is either crazy or a huge homer.

Not even close. Wright is better offensively, and when defense comes into the equation...it becomes a landslide.

I don't think Pablo is overrated, I saw most of his games on the winter and while I still don't see him with 30HR power, I will eat my hat if he hits less than .300 in a season he can handle the bat really well, and he's very athletic for his body.
And his spike on his walk rate this season is something to be noted.

Wright and as of right now it's not even close.

But Pablo has the potential so who knows for the future.

    Wright.

Sandoval is having a great year, but I want to see him sustain it for more than just one season before I even put him in the same conversation as Wright.

Props to Mane for the sig.
