Shaq is considered a great low post passer, scores easily, rebounds, and plays defense. The only thing he doesn't do well on that list is ball handling. And that can be said for all big men. So to me that puts him there with Duncan and Garnett, and Shaq has been more dominant. So my vote goes to Shaq easily.

Please dont put KG's name in that list. He was the best player on a terrible team before he landed in the celtics. He cant go in as one of the best of THE DECADE. Maybe the last 2 years, but not decade.

Lebron is the most versitile player on that list.

He does everything on the court.

With your description, he is the player of the decade.

Rethink your description again cuz no way in hell is Lebron player of the decade.

You have to remember that Shaq still put up some good numbers the past few year, it's not like he hasn't been playing.

I agree, even being a Cavs fan there is no way in hell that LeBron and Wade should be on that list.

Okay, honestly, Lebron and Wade shouldn't even be in the argument. they didn't come until the 2003-2004 season. they werent there for 2000-2003.

    1. Shaq (3 CONSECUTIVE finals MVPs)
    2a. Duncan (4 titles 3 finals mvps) - 2b. Kobe
    3. Kevin Garnett
    4. Jason Kidd
    5. Allen Iverson

    Distant 6th-Dwade
    7. Lebron
    8. Steve Nash
    9. Dirk

    10. Mike James

Kidd was captian. And if I recall, it was Dwyane Wade who was the best on that squad.

Thats a great point. It is a team effort but heres why Shaq is the best player of the new era. The guy goes anywhere and puts them into contention. Phoenix brings him down but that was just a bad situation type deal. Shaq also played a huge part in the evolution of basketball. Duncan and Kobe, both great no doubt at all, didnt change the game tho. Shaq is a total phenom and one day another of his kind will come, but DEF not for a while. Kobe and Duncan are more common style players (but those guys are unreal anyway).

LeBron could be the game changer of the next era tho!
