4) Kobe (along with D-wade) create and make the most creative shots.
5) Kobe has better range.
6) Kobe has better shooting "mechanics". (aka free throw percentage always in the 80s for his career. only exception was his 2nd yr in the league when he was primarily a 6th man, did not get many free throw attempts, and shot 78-79%).
7) Kobe has better post-up game (even though he doesn't post up as much as MJ used to).
8) Kobe has the better handles and ball control. (He, along with AI, Starbury, B. Davis, T-Mac etc were known to be the masters of the jukes and cross-overs in the late 90s and early 2000s.)
9) Kobe's basketball mind is much greater. He completely understands the intracacies of the offense his team runs, which is the triangle offense. He knows it inside out, and knows the most of the offense. Can't say that about the stars of the other team unless they are a point guard that has the ball in their hands 95% of the time (aka steve nash, chris paul)
10) Kobe has the best body control. He can take contact (aka, when Melo leveled him in game 5 of the WCF, and unlike other players, did not fall flat on his face or did an acting job--> i guess the lack of acting job can be attributed to the maturity and growth of his game, since he's stopped doing a lot of the acting stuff to draw contact for the last 2 yrs he's been in the league). He can also contort his body in any offensive situation to get the best feel and opportunity to make a shot.
11) The best offensive arsenal currently in the NBA.
12) The best "1-possession" defensive player (Timmy D, KG, and Wade the others).
13) Still the best 1-on-1 player because of his overall offensive game.
14) Kobe can coach the team by vocally speaking or drawing plays on the whiteboard by himself. Player coach (like Russell)
15) Kobe takes a challenge personal, and now due to his maturity, understands when to pick and choose his battles. HE is the Alpha Male of the NBA that everyone tries to attack offensively and defensively. HE is the guy that pretty good defensive players EARN the title of "defensive specialists" like Bruce Bowen, Raja Bell, Dahntay Jones (to an extent), Shane Battier, and of course, Ron Artest (although he is naturally a defensive force). In fact, Pierce's defense stood out when he felt to take on the challenge against Kobe in the 2008 NBA Finals. For that, he got a lot of notoriety.
16) Literally outscored a team all by himself EVERY SECOND he played in a game. (December 2005, Kobe 62, Mavericks 61, thru the first 3 quarters, did not play a second in the 4th qtr)
17) He is THE ABSOLUTE BEST 2nd option guy in the history of the NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION, when he was the 2-punch to Shaq's 1
18) He is a top 10 1st option guy in the history of the NBA. This is what makes him so great, the fact that he won championships as the 2nd best guy, and now winning championship as THE GUY. And took on the role early on his career for the betterment of the team, the organization, and his own legacy to start off his young career winning championships. Went to the top of the mountain, fell flat on his face, and went back up to the mountain (he and d-fish are the only guyz i can recall who have gone thru such)
19) Kobe always has his defenders guessing what his next move will be. He has the defender on his heals every second he is on the floor.
20) Kobe can attempt less than 10 free throws in a game and still drop 50.
21) Kobe has the most stamina and energy to actually put up the amount of shots he did when he scored 81 (46 FGA)
22) IF NEED BE, KOBe can score 50 or 60 at will. We experienced that in 05-06 and 06-07.
23) Once Kobe is on fire, he is the most dangerous player. (aka, 4 straight 50+ games in 06-07, jordan's last game as a wizard in LA (kobe 9/13 3 pointers-55 pts), Tied for most 3 pointers made in a game (12 in 2006 vs Seattle, tied with Donyell Marshall, but did it first and in 1 less attempt)
24) Kinda feel I have to bring this up, but.....the most mentally tough player I have seen to date with everything going wrong against him. In 03-04, would come back from Colorado court, perhaps come back to the arena right before or in the middle of the game, and have either a huge night or would hit ridiculous game winners.
24 reasons for why #24 is the best. Game, Set, Match. Thank you!
