Well theyre both bad, but that kind of contract for what Varejao can give is flat out dumb.

Both deals are horrible, but Arenas is atleast good.

For me, i think Arenas's contract is bad, but at least he's good and as shown what he can do when he's healthy. So at least it's somewhat of an exception.

For Varejao, what the hell has this guy done to be even worth an MLE?

Gilbert if he doesn't return to forum. NBA teams will always over pay for a big, They will always trade for an over paid big as well.

It's Varejao. Nobody would even be thinking about Arenas if he didn't have the injury issues.

Is anyone going to add Kobe's name to this thread if he gets injured for an extended period? How about LeBron after next season? We're comparing a player who led the league in scoring or was close to leading the league in scoring three times to a player whose most famous accomplishment is drawing technical fouls for flopping.

Still too early to say. Gilbert has only played one year of his contract, and there is no ruling out that he can come back to form. The Varejao signing was a joke though.

Also comparing a 50 million contract to a 120 million contract.

If Arenas' contract wasn't for so much or so long people wouldn't be saying it was bad.

Besides that, Arenas was injured when they offered him the contract.
