    help: clipping mask

    how do u do clipping masks in gimp, if anybody can help me that will be awesome

    I think you just click on whatever you want to do a clipping mask on in the layers box and paste the image.

    Layer > new layer

    then click the checkbox that says something about a clipping mask, then hit "OK"

    This is for photoshop...I'm not sure if you use ps or gimp.

    EDIT: I see you use GIMP...nvm.

    It's way more complicated in GIMP than PS. I used to know how to do it but I forget, lemme look for the tut..

    Clipping Mask
    Set your text to where you want to make the clipping mask.
    Duplicate the Background without the text.
    Click on the text layer, and set it to "Alpha to Selection"
    Then CTR X on the background layer.

    This is for GIMP, I don't know how it translates into PS.

    That's from me in the tips and tricks thread. I don't know if that makes sense, I haven't used GIMP is forever.

    yeah for ps isnt there just something that allows you to add clipping mask.. haha
