    deron williams because he has already proved he is clutch and can lead a team especially with alot of talent surrounding him he makes them even better. he defends,hits the 3 ball,never gives up,everytime he plays my lakers he goes right at us even with bynum and gasol there. He has heart and always has a fresh haircut. Derrick Rose is talented considering hes 19 or 20 wtvr pretty much the same age as me but has alot to improve on his decision making on and off the court could use some work....he did a decent job in chicago...considering they have gordon,deng,tim thomas,tyrus thomas,brad miller kirk hinrich to fall back on...i know utah has talent but deron utiliized it more...deron will be the better player and is at the moment but derrick rose will have a successful career as long as he behaves himself and stops throwin up gang signs on pictures...his play is fine just not deron williams comparable!

    Rose. I love D Will but Rose has done so much more at this point of his career than Deron did at the same point. I think Rose has a higher ceiling, and already did an incredible job in the playoffs, as a rookie.

    Deron doesn't have any real weaknesses. Plus if you can't start with the best PG in the game, it doesn't hurt to draft the only guy who's proven he can stop him.

    the thread is titled who would you want to start your franchise with.

    assuming they are both rookies i pick dRose every day. he showed you guys a little of what he can do in the playoffs on national television, but us bulls fans have been watching him all year and know just how amazing he can be. in due time people will see just how special a player drose really is.
