Lets say we are done making changes...

Lets say we are done making moves for the offseason. What would you say the starting rotation would be? Batting order and so on. For fun lets think outside the box some too.

    Ill start with batting order..

Stubbs (I would line up 10 pitchers and throw at him all at once until he is able to bunt every one. And for every time he strikes out this year we get to hit him in the head with a tack hammer.) not hard, just enough to make a small bump. lol

Phillips. Hopefully he get back to hitting to right center. Thats when he is at his best.

Votto. Prediction. 41 hrs. .322 ave. 110 rbis nuff said

    Mesoraco
. This is my think outside the box part. Right handed bat, good power, and a cotact hitter. I think he will be ready. I like the whole lineup to be dangerous.

Cozart. I look at a lineup to have two leadoff hitters and so forth. Cozart would be my second "leadoff" guy batting 5th.

Rolen. Great place for him with his experience. Also takes the pressure off batting cleanup.

Bruce. Basically he's batting 3rd like Votto but in the second half of the order.

Heisey. Cleanup responsibility in the second lineup.

This line up would be dangerous from top to bottom. Clearly this is a different way of looking at it...

Again lets have fun with this.

Here is a different batting order that I wouldn't mind seeing once or twice.

Chris Heisey: I like a some power at the top. Anybody remember when Brady Anderson hit 50 HR's leading off for the Orioles? If the Reds can sign Juan Pierre they could alternate the leadoff spot with power (Heisey) and speed (Pierre).

Zack Cozart: If he can hit .275 or better the #2 hole would be a good spot for him.

Joey Votto: If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Brandon Phillips: The Reds keep looking for a right-handed cleanup hitter, they already have a really good one in Phillips. Why are we so dead set on him hitting leadoff? Generally it's much cheaper to find a solid leadoff hitter than it is to find a solid cleanup hitter.

Jay Bruce: Hitting in front of Rolen should help Bruce immensely.

Scott Rolen: Great spot for an aging veteran in the batting order. Also would be a good spot for Juan Francisco when Rolen needs some rest.

Drew Stubbs: The #7 hole has been his most productive spot in the order. Don't mess with success. Why didn't they send Stubbs to the Fall/Winter league and have him do nothing but bunt every single at-bat?

    Ryan Hanigan/Devin Mesoraco:
I didn't think out of the box much here.

    Look Ma, no hands!

    Todd Frazier's no-handed homerun

I dont think, I HOPE Ablowyo is out of the Rotation... in all actuality, I am simply waiting to see what the next excuse will be...Carpal Tunnel, Mono, maybe a fractured hair follicle... who knows, maybe he will be on again for part of a season...i am just tired of not knowing what to expect from him...and he is an A-hole to boot...

Thats funny. Im with ya but I think we can count on him getting 12-14 wins. Leake is our #3 pitcher. I believe its between Bailey and Chapmen for the #5 spot. Hopefully Chapman has got it together. Bailey can go into long relief cause I dont think he has any more options.

I'd rather see Arroyo as the long man, hell id even rather have LeCure in the rotation...but we all know money talks so Arroyo will be given his shot to ruin another season!

I know he is frustrating to watch sometimes but it is nice to know that you can count on 13 plus wins and he is an inning eater. I have always been impressed with LaCure. He is valuable in situational relief and if in a bind can be ready to start with a couple of days notice. Thats hard to find. Bailey,,,,,,I don't know. Just tired of waiting on him.

    1) Cozart- .357 OBP with the Bats last year, good contact hitter and not to mention he stole 30 bases in 2010

    2) Phillips- Great contact and a doubles machine last year, will set Votto up for some beefier RBI numbers this year

3)Votto- Hopefully he can cut back on the K's this year but a perennial MVP candidate for years to come

4)Rolen- I was going to put BP here and Heisey second but when I started thinking about it BP seemed to choke a bit when hitting cleanup when he did last year, that or it could be Dusty's inability to stick with a lineup for more than 3 games at a time. Anyway, Rolens power numbers in '10 were better than Phillips' so lets hope he comes back healthy

    5) Bruce- I'm guessing 35 HR's and 102-105 RBI and a .275 clip

6)Heisey- Lets hope those 279 AB's last year turn into 500 this year because he can be a serious threat in the second part of the lineup.

7)Stubbs- I agree with the tack hammer idea, guy couldn't bunt if his Grandma was being held captive by an angry Mike Tyson. Let's hope his K's go down as well, some of those hacks he took last year reminded me of Wily Mo.

8)Hanigan/Meseraco- Hanigan gets solid contact and has a little pop when rested. I dont think Meseraco is going to be tearing the cover off the ball right off the bat

    ROTATION

1)Cueto- He earned it last year for us, Bravo JC

2)Latos- Lets hope the transition of Big park to small park works out, we gave up a lot for this guy

3)Arroyo- i think last year was a fluke

4)Leake- I was debating putting him at the 3 slot but his arm gets tired and Arroyo can pitch with the plague

    5) Shootout in spring training

I cant count on any more than 10 wins from Ablowyo...and I could care less how many innings he eats when he is pitching like crap!

    Bronson's Winning % .523 (with Reds)

    Homers................. .521

granted that Bronson has a larger sample size...but yea...not too different production wise...
