Lebron went to the conference finals with no team. What if the two switched teams? Who do you think would win that series?
He actually played good in that series... Not as good like against the Cavs but was still good... True, Perkins did a good job against him and he was held down in scoring but that is not all he does... Plus, this thread is not who is better... We are talking about a player better to build a team around... Lebron is the better player... In a few years, it may stay the same... It may not but that is not important because majority of the people picking Dwight is not picking him because he is a better better player... we picked him because he is a great player who plays a very important position...

    LOL

Lebron is the best player ever to play the game.

    He is the MVP.

    Simple as that.

A guy who has only been in the league six years and has yet to win anything is the best player to ever play the game?

    You just lost ALL credibility.

Props to Mane for the sig.

Since the question is build around it's almost like Lebron and ? v.s Dwight and ?, and for me you can take any player with Lebron over any player with Dwight. Give Lebron a secondary star, or even a good supporting cast, he'll get a title. He just needs that 1B guy like Kobe has, like Dwight has, like Carmelo has.

He woulda been ****ed in Washington...
Update: Turns out he was ****ed in Kansas City too

This thread is the most epic fail I've ever seen.

How people can seriously take Dwight over Lebron is absolutely ridiculous.

When all's said and done, he will be the best ever.

Forget stats and accomplishments and look at the players as individuals.

But when you look at individuals, you look into their stats and accomplishments.

    That's just how it works

lol maybe I'm wording things wrong.

I'm basically trying to say he is the best player in the sense that his physical abilities make him the best player.

It's like saying take Jordan when he was 25 and Lebron right now. Who is the better player?

    LeBron - 28.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 7.2 apg, 1.7 spg
    Jordan - 32.5 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 8.0 rpg, 2.9 spg

Give me MJ any time, any day of the week

For Me, it is all about which is easier to build around?

LeBron: you still need a good PF or Center (hard to find) and at least an above average PG.

Howard: You only need 2 good 3 point shooters...with one of those being a 3 point shooter and a slasher.

So yes, both need at least 2 more players to compliment them but Howard's "two other players" are MUCH easier to find than LeBron's "two other players". Yes, LeBron IS better but we're talking about building a team around them. It'd be MUCH easier to build around Dwight, even though LeBron is the better player.

As an EXAMPLE, we should look at the Lakers. Kobe is on par (imo) with LeBron, yet Kobe has needed tons of players (that have been difficult to find or long to wait for) just to be relevant again after Shaq left. Kobe has needed Pau and Odom up front to help him....and even then he doesn't have "the" above average PG...but he has Bynum to help.

Now look at DWade. Sure, not on the same level as LeBron and Kobe but pretty high up nonetheless. What happened to Miami when Shaq got there? 2 great seasons and 1 championship. It was because Shaq was there.

Again, Lebron might be the better player overall but Howard is much, much easier to build around. A good 3 point shooter and a 3 point shooter/slasher are much easier to find than a good center or good PF and an above average PG.

Dwight has shown us flashes and glimpses of a brilliant paint game; his athleticism and size have always been there. Dwight proved himself to me, and to a lot of people these playoffs. Dwight Howard.

Hustla23....I wish...I really do wish that it was Dwight Howard and not LeBron becoming a free agent in 2010. We'd get another Ewing era if Howard came. Dwight would also put us over the top. Hell, I'd love to have Howard and Wade instead of Lebron and Bosh. Man, why did Howard have to sign such a long deal
