LeBron definitely took over. He was responsible for Cleveland scoring 9 points in the finaly 2 minutes alone. Pretty impressive.
I guess you didnt see that game huh? Lebron got a lot more out of his teamates tonight then what Kobe got from his. Lakers 2nd high scorer of that game was 13 points. Kobe just took over when it mattered yesterday and can hit clutch FT's, Lebron has proven all year they have a hard time against Elite teams and that he isnt a good FT shooter

You know that there are multiple statistics that prove exactly the opposite of that right?

Anyway, let's not make this a LBJ Kobe thread
LeBron delivered. Delonte missed. Plain and simple. LeBron did everything he could. He made the big shot (3 point play) with 25 seconds left. He got to the hoop, drew a huge crowd, kicked it out to an open man...and unlike Kobe's supporting cast last night...Delonte missed the open shot. I can't believe you honestly are acting like LeBron didn't do everything he possibly could...or act like anyone else could have done better.
I no longer care about anything here except for the Entertainment Forum, which sucks; the Music forum, which sucks; and the Magic forum, which does NOT suck.

    Love y'all!

    Except for all of y'all.

If LeBron had shot 13-28 tonight the Magic are up by at least a dozen the entire game.
Basketball doesn't work that way. You can't change whether or not some shots went in or not and assume both teams would play the same way.
    No acting here!

Kobe fans wait, wait, wait, and wait til the Magic pull it out then come out of the woodwork to boast because, well, I don't know why. Good job.

Lebron's game 1 > Kobe's game 1. Period. The Magic benefited from really clutch shots, the Lakers benefited from the Nuggets not being able to inbound the ball and Kobe free throws.

I still think Cleveland wins this series. The Magic shot 45% from the 3 point line. If they do that every game they are the best team ever. They won't do that though. The Cavs outside of Lebron as a whole were not good tonight. Varejo was good, Smith was decent, everyone else sucked. That also will not happen every night.

LBJ was amazing in this game, especially in the first half. But since I was comparing it to Kobe's performance (not to Kobe as a player) last night, he could have done something more.

He had a great game but he could have done something more in the last few minutes of the fourth quarter. LBJ shouldn't have passed on shots when the game was on the line. He should have taken the shots himself. It kinda reminded me of the Wizards game when he passed the shot the last few seconds.

He also missed like 3 or 4 FTs in the fourth, 2 of which were in the clutch.

That's why the Celtics shut Kobe down last year and couldn't stop Lebron. That's why Stan Van Gundy just said he has no clue what he's going to do against Lebron next game. He said the guy is unbelievable. You can stop Kobe or keep him somewhat in check. You can not stop Lebron and that's why he is the best player in the world.

Yep, because LeBron has played against the Cavs a lot.

What the **** does Kobe have to do with anything here?

And LeBron shot 67% tonight anyway. Go away.

This is true, LeBron has a 0% FG percentage when playing against them.

Kobe led his team to a win in the last 2 minutes?

Here's what Kobe did in the last 2 minutes last night:
    0:36 - Clanked a 22-footer, LA gets ball back.
    0:30 - Gets fouled, makes 2 FT's.
    0:10 - Gets fouled, makes 2 FT's.
    0:05 - Intentially fouled, makes 2 FT's

Here's what LeBron did in the final 2 minutes tonight:
    1:39 - LeBron makes 1 of 2 FT's
    0:40 - LeBron assists Delonte West for wide-open 3
0:25 - LeBron makes 8 foot jumper and gets fouled, makes FT.
0:04 - Gets in on offensive boards, wins jump ball.

You are telling me that Kobe took the game over any more than LeBron did, when LeBron was responsible for 7 points in the final 2 minutes and Kobe was responsible for 6? Homer alert.

Ummm No. At the end of the day, a W is what really matters. Lebron choked at the end and could not even get a shot off without dwight in the lane. and he missed key freethrows down the stretch. He was amazing but he was definitely not clutch.

So every Laker player had a better game than LeBron, since they got a win and he didn't?
