Trade Luongo??

i heard a few rumors of the last week and some are pretty interesting. just wondering what other peoples thoughts are with this........

1. should we or should we not trade Luongo?

2. what could we get?

3. what do you want?

Gillis couldn't believe the fan reaction after the 7 goal game either. I really thought Vancouver fans were less fickle than that.

The only reason Luongo gets traded is if he decides to leave because we fail as fans

I can see the issue from a salary structure point of view, but I don't see why the hell we would trade away talent like that in net.

Doesn't anyone remember Dan Cloutier??? How about other "goalies of the future" like Kevin Weekes or Garth Snow??

luongo is untradeable. I'm not quite ready to already throw Corey S into the starting role.

Cups are overrated. Cloutier posted some great stats better then McLean and Brodeur(Richard)

u let the twins go and theres no way he going to sign an extension. i dont want to trade him either but we cant let him leave next year for nothing.

I say keep him of course. You don't let go of a great player like that, especially a goalie. Who the hell trades away a franchise goalie?

That said, Luuu has to do something about the money part of his game. As much as I hate to admit it, when the shootouts start I always have the feeling he's going to let in the winning goal. I don't know if it's pressure, or if it's just 1on1, but in breakaway situations I think he's shakier than an all-world goalie should be.

yep, and the breakaway goals hurt us in the chicago series as well.
