Okay...So, I read once that Dan Reeves was once asked who threw harder - young Elway or young Vick. His response was something like "no question - John Elway." So, that should at least put Elway above Vick in the list.

Someone else who hasn't been mentioned yet that had a super arm -- Steve Bartkowski. I've read where he was able to sling it from one end zone to the other. Not sure if that was true or not but...he did have a great arm.

LSU fan here. My grandfather and father always told me stories of seeing Bert Jones and his ridiculous arm. Can't believe how underrated this guy is by a lot of people. He could flick his wrist and get the ball 90 yards downfield.

I've personally seen the JaMarcus Russell trick. He really could throw into the endzone from his own 20 on his knees. The ball went through the uprights.

i just wanted to bring up Bert Jones. Who seems to have disappeared out of NFL lore, sucks he injured his shoulder.

My main gripe is how many 1st overall QB's will Indy get, they always get good 1st overrall QB's: Manning, George, Elway(before trade), Jones

They just got another one this year in Andrew Luck.. What is going on?

Are we going by distance or velocity? That does make a difference. I'd say Favre or Elway threw the hardest of anyone. Based on distance I'd go with Culpepper, JaMarcus Russel, or Bert Jones.
