Chris Capuano has pitched 22 innings in the Minors only giving up 2 runs he pitched 8 scoreless innings AAA his last start, great to hear.
Other notes LuCroy and Arnett struggling recently and Jeffress close to returning.
He was a younger, but seasoned at 26/27, arm brought in for starting depth. Since he left A ball he has a 2.66 ERA at AA and 3.54 ERA at AAA which is very respectable. His WHIP numbers have improved each season at AAA also.
As you can tell from my other posts I'm very high on him. What I really liked about him from the relief appearance yesterday was his poise after giving up the homer to Votto. He accepted it and went back on the attack. The other thing I like is his pitch count. 13.75 an inning is pretty good. That comes out to about 96 pitches if he were to go 7 innings. He would probably be around 110+ as a starter but I think he'd give you 6 solid innings at least. Only time will tell if he has the tools to go through a lineup more than once.
