If we can move into the 8h spot, we will not lose it. If we can sneak in there come Saturday with 4 to go, its ours. MTL and NYR play eachother, so someone HAS to lose. That means WE control our own destiny for the most part. As long as MTL doesn't win i overtime, we get some great news next Tuesday (I think thats when they play...).

MTL has a much softer scheudle then NYR, though, so I think we can catch the Rangers easier. Nice that Buffalo is basically out of the picture now officially.
One day, I will own a new NFL team, and to it I will sign:

QB: Michael Vick, RB: Ricky Williams, RB: Lendale White, WR: Terrel Owens, WR: Chad Johnson, WR: Plaxico Burress, WR: Chris Henry, TE: Jeremy Shockey, LB Ray Lewis, CB Deangelo Hall, CB Pacman Jones, DT Tank Johnson, and fill the holes with Bengles and Raiders.

Noone will #$@! with us, or we'll send our new offensive cooridnator Rae Carruth their way...

I agree 100%. Rangers lost 4-2 tonight against CAR. Must win tomorow against ATL who just beat Buffalo last night. Now, when they play each other, it better not go into OT, and I hope Montreal wins. But now we can tie tomorow night. I think NYR is who we will catch up to because of the schedule. Montreal kicked some butt tonight winning 5-1 over NYI. The Panthers are playing hot. Must win tomorow. DeBoer's boys needa keep it up. Andy is playing well tonight. Let's tie NYR tomorow and move within a point again of MTL!

Yep, now with NYR 2 points ahead, and us haveing 1 more game remaining then them, we win tonight and we are automatically at 8th seed (We hold tiebreakers all over the place on NYR I believe). Best part about this? My brother/roomate is a HUGE Rangers fan!!!!!!!!!

Well, the NYR hold tiebreaker currently via wins. They have 40, we 38, so we win tonight, we have 39, emaning Rangers have more wins and are in. We hold the second tiebreaker though. So, say we win, then they lose two straight in OT and we win one lose the other. We now both have 40 wins and the same points. At that point, we get tiebreaker because we are 3-1 against them this season.

So, we need to get ahead point-wise, or hope they get al their points from OT losses. Its at the point where OT points in a loss are not helping us much unless it puts us definitivley ahead of them.

we really need the rangers to lose today to the bruins. right now they are down 1-0. even if they lose we still need to win out and have them lose 1 more game. we are done.
