    straight horror story -

Buddy of mine misplays a hand heartily, a small game had turned into a marathon, but still a sizeable pot for a weekday game.

Stacks are about even, Player 2 is down bit, lets say 45% - 55%

Game has been going for a while, player 2 says **** it and goes for it.

Player 1 holds pocket rockets , Player 2 holds eight nine suited

    Flop, A Q 8

Player 1 is pretty much the winner.

    Turn, 8 River, 8

I have never seen anything like it.

Player 1 actual concedes the game, unreal.

    Player 1 is me

u cant really say how to play them one way, its so situation dependant, there is so many ways u may have to play one hand, things like position, amount of blinds u have, amount of blinds ur opponets have, money bubbles, implied odd, loose players, tight players, etc, what im trying to say there is no certain way to play the hand, there is many different ways that u have to play a hand

Can't remember the worst bad beat I ever took but I do remember the worst one I have ever dished out. It was on a ring table on pokerstars I had KK raised pre had a couple callers. Flop was AA6 I checked others checked turn K so now im hoping someone has the A so i bet out a few dollars one guy calls. River K I bet out about half pot he raised I went all in he called he had A6. The odds of me winning after the flop was about .5%. Was also involved in a strange hand once where i had QQ and there was a raise and reraise pre 4 of us total were in. Flop came KQJ everyone got all in the 4 hands were AA KK QQ JJ. Never sat with much so it never bothered me it was just strange to see the 4 biggest hands and 3 to flop a set.

ugh, this weekend I had a guy call on the turn with 9's when I had top pair A-J. He called for the pot $100 (he had 85$ left) and he hit the 9

No I didn't see that but I more than agree with you about celebrity Poker. It's horrible and a disgrace to people that actually know how to play the game.

Anyone know when season 7 of HSP is starting up?
