I wish I was able to get a home game going on a consistent basis. Nothing big, just something to keep people interested. It would be good for my live game.

♠ Location: Los Angeles
♠ How long have you been playing poker? 7 Years
♠ Where do you go to play? Morongo
♠ If you play online, what software do you use (SN is optional)? N/A
♠ What's your favorite pocket hand? Suited Connectors
♠ What's your "Doyle Brunson" (bad pocket hand that you have good luck with): 8-5 Suited
♠ Anything else you wanna share? Started as a hobby that turned into some kind of passion. I love playing poker and once played 2 1/2 days straight. Usually play with respect and tried not to get greedy by re-raising multiple times with river on limit tables. Once bought in for minimum of $60 on no-limit 1/2 blinds, went home with about 5k.. and yes that was the 2 1/2 days.
Annie Duke vs. Paul Wasicka was even sicker. The hand is in the first 1 minute of the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=No_Iy-W72mM
Kristaps Porzingis
Stronger than most 15 year old girls.
Based on your liking of L.A. teams and your username I am guessing you live in or near L.A.? If so, I know a guy who hosts mini tourneys and sometimes cash games usually once a week or every other week. If you do live around L.A. hit me up if you are interested. I too am looking for other home games and whatever out here.

Well, I know some places out in the valley like Northridge and Chatsworth. I live out in Simi Valley so if you are willing to drive out to those areas I could probably get you some info on home games in those areas. Let me know.

I'm on my way to play in event #5 at the WSOP.
Let's bring it homeray:
2,092 players in the tourney and I went out with around 550 players remaining.
I played in event #8 yesterday. 2,341 players in that one and I thought I was going to cash until my pocket Kings got rocked to a set of 10s on the river. Then I chopped a pot when I really should have won it which cost me 13k in chips. Then the last hand, I was in the Big Blind with 53 off and the Small Blind limps in. The flop comes 643 and he bets enough to put me all in so I ship it in. He's got J5 and he's chasing the same draw I've got but I'm ahead with my 3s. Do I really need to say what hits the turn? Yeah, a Jack... tourney over~ I was pretty disappointed honestly. I never really got any chips to play with in either tourney which was pretty frustrating but having said that I did manage to milk the stacks I did have for a very long time. I didn't bubble event #8 at least.Cash was 243 players I think and I went out around 350.
I just got home a few hours ago. Time to regroup and go hit it again in a couple of weeks.
Sounds about right.
I managed to take down two satellites. A $125 and a $275. I lost a $325 when we got heads up. The damn guy didn't want to chop. Then I chopped two other $125. So I'm better than even right now. I've got two $500 chips, on my desk they'll help me pay for another event.
Daniel Negreanu was on my left for about an hour. He went out really quick though in event #8. The crowd around my table while he was still in it was ridiculous.
Its All About THE []_[]
I'm not a professional player. I don't have the free time right now to go for it like I'd like to. I'd love to be able to do it for a year, not worry about anything but playing poker but my kids take priority over that right now.
I'm going to try and get into the NAPT Los Angeles in November at the Bicycle Casino though.
♠ Location: Chicago
♠ How long have you been playing poker? 6 years proper
♠ Where do you go to play? Horseshoe; Potawanamie; Ho-Chunk; Hollywood Casino; Vegas
♠ If you play online, what software do you use (SN is optional)? Full Tilt
♠ What's your favorite pocket hand? A's
♠ What's your "Doyle Brunson" (bad pocket hand that you have good luck with): 6-4 off suit ($300+ hand at 6-12)
♠ Anything else you wanna share? I favor limit games almost exclusively. The no limit players have to be terrible for me to want to play them.
Not just who you like, but who you play like. For instance mine would be Greenstein since I'm hyper-analytical about the numbers and try to stick to limit games where the numbers are more important than reading skills. (Not that they aren't important in every game, i'm not doing a sematical argument about this.)
I'd like to be more like Faraha, but I don't have the bankroll or stomach to push the way he does.
