Hockeytraderumors.com is reporting that the Panthers have aquired Chris Neil and Chris Kelly from the Ottowa Senators. Details of the deal were not included.

Chris Neil is definatley having a poor season, but is really more of an enforcer, so he can bring an extra physical play to the team. Kelly, though, looks like a much brighter addition, as he has past 30+ point seasons at Center and can give good depth at the position. He is also having a down year.
Both players down years could be a product of a poor year by the Senators in general, how much is their fault and how much its affecting them is not clear, but we might see a spike in performance suggesting they were being held down by others underpreforming.
Overall, I like this move depending what we gave up. I mean, c'mon, how often are the Panthers buyers at the deadline!?
