Panthers, Lightning swap players
Panthers aquire Steve Eminger in exchange for Noah Welch.
Eminger:
Year Team GP G A Pts +/- PIM PPG PPA SHG SHA GW GT SOG Pct
2007-08 WAS 20 0 2 2 -4 8 0 0 0 0 0 0 14 .000
2008-09 PHI 12 0 2 2 0 8 0 0 0 0 0 0 9 .000
2008-09 TB 50 4 19 23 -4 36 2 10 0 0 0 0 63 .063
Welch:
Year Team GP G A Pts +/- PIM PPG PPA SHG SHA GW GT SOG Pct
2006-07 FLA 2 1 0 1 3 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 4 .250
2007-08 FLA 4 0 0 0 1 7 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .000
2008-09 FLA 23 1 1 2 -5 11 0 0 0 0 0 0 11 .091
Welch was expected to step in for Boynton while he is at home for the rest of the road trip, but it appears that will no longer be the case.
Eminger, a former 1st rounder, brings more experience to the team then Welch brought and could become a bigger part of the team then Welch. Though Welch never had much chance in the defense-heavy Panthers, I like this trade for a more established and possibly higher upside player.
Thoughts on this one?
One day, I will own a new NFL team, and to it I will sign:
QB: Michael Vick, RB: Ricky Williams, RB: Lendale White, WR: Terrel Owens, WR: Chad Johnson, WR: Plaxico Burress, WR: Chris Henry, TE: Jeremy Shockey, LB Ray Lewis, CB Deangelo Hall, CB Pacman Jones, DT Tank Johnson, and fill the holes with Bengles and Raiders.
Noone will #$@! with us, or we'll send our new offensive cooridnator Rae Carruth their way...
