Does anybody have any questions, comments, or concerns about the Red Wings forum?

Well, there is a trade freeze right now until the Olympics are over. I am skeptical that we will do anything of significance now that we are healthy and have cap issues. There was a rumor that we may pursue a top 6 forward, but I'm not sure who we would unload to make room for that type of cap, and I doubt it would be worth it.

Oh and welcome to the forum!

Its all good, unless you count the fact that nobody has posted in my "lines" thread.

Agreed -- I like the level of discussion we have going on in here. I just wish we had more people to do it.

I want to know why Citrus is a Red Wings fan. Why not one of the teams where you have roots? Or did you live in Detroit?

    Red Wings Off Topic Thread

so I have Lameboy on my Acekard 2i. I decided since I really want a Fire Red, Id play Yellow on it. But I dont know if Pikachu is really all that great for some things. Should I play Red or Yellow?

PS: I know all three Kantos are obtainable in Yellow.

    Ha -- thanks ink.

My grandfather was a huge Red Wings fan and we would watch games together whenever they were on; mind you, this was the 1980s. I lived in Santa Cruz, which is just south of San Jose, but this was before the Sharks were a team.

And, the first NHL game I went to was the Red Wings vs. the San Jose Sharks. Now, the Sharks hold a special place in my heart -- they are my hometown team -- but, I will always be a Red Wings fan first and foremost.

I've also only been to one game in Detroit at JLA -- the night they retired Steve Yzerman's number.

And no, ink, I live in Iowa.

All meant in a good natured way of course! I thought you might have an interesting story about how you became a Wings fan. You picked one of the greats to cheer for!

And that's pretty impressive that you got to see Stevie Y's jersey retired at the Joe Louis Arena.
