I'm in, but what scoring categories are you considering?
I would suggest:
HR RBI R SB AVG OPS for offense
and
W S ERA WHIP K H(olds)
This way your relief pitchers have more value, because there are only a few real closers.
Let me know when you have it set up, and I'll join in a heartbeat. I'm usually in 5-7 Yahoo leagues and 1 ESPN league, so one more is no problem!
I can be boring and vanilla, too! Controversy = BAD...
Well it was going to be H2H, so I was thinking of doing this:
Single - 1 point
Double - 2
Triple - 3
HR - 4
Runs - 1
RBI - 1
SB - 1
K -( -1)
My only problem with this is that it makes power hitters overrated, so if you have an idea to fix it, let me know.
And for pitching:
IP - 3
ER - (-1)
Win - 10
Loss - (-5)
Save - 5
Blown Save - (-2)
K - 1
Hit - (-.5)
BB - (-.5)
Hold - 2
No Hitter - 10
Perfect Game - 20
I'm in.
Elephants, whats your email?
OK, if you are going to go that way, then you need to add a couple of hitting categories, as you currently have 8 offensive and 10 pitching stats (actually 12, but I'll consider the no hitter and perfect game points as "bonus" ones.)
I would guess Walks would be a good one, +1. And maybe make SB +2, and CS -1?

Will do
Batting
Singles (1B) 1
Triples (3B) 3
Walks (BB) 1
Runs Batted In (RBI) 1
Strikeouts (K) -1
Doubles (2B) 2
Home Runs (HR) 4
Runs Scored (R) 1
Stolen Bases (SB) 1
Caught Stealing (CS) -1
Pitching
Innings Pitched (IP) 3
Wins (W) 10
Saves (SV) 5
Strikeouts (K) 1
Walks Issued (BB) -0.5
Earned Runs (ER) -1
Losses (L) -5
Blown Saves (BS) -2
Hits Allowed (H) -0.5
Holds (HD) 2
Perfect Games (PG) 20
No Hitters (NH) 10
That ok? Bbs, what's your email?

I'm in....but everyone better stay active, unlike last year!
I'm in!
TRIPOD!
Sure I'll give it a whirl.
Mets - heart attacks
Jets - primed for Superbowl run but will probably disappoint as usual
Knicks - lol, and probably wont get Lebron either
**** sports.
And looking it over, it actually DEVALUES power hitters some, because a guy who goes 4-4 with 2 singles and two doubles is more likely than multiple homers from one guy, so Player A would have 10 points purely from hits, while Player B would have 12 from two solo HR, but since runs were put on the board from those hits immediately, they ARE more valuable.
A guy like, say Adam Dunn is more likely to go 1-4 with a HR and 2 K, which would be 4 points, while a guy like Ichiro Suzuki is more likely to go 2-4 with a double and a SB, therefore he would have 4 points too. Basically a wash.
I can be boring and vanilla, too! Controversy = BAD...
Sounds fantastic, my email is bbsmets@hotmail.com.

If you all want to do a live draft using the phone, I could set up a conference bridge to host it.
