If he wins he may be a 1st ballot, if he doesn't win he should get in but it won't be for a while.

If he wins he may be top 10 all time...

his numbers are on par with Brady's...

"IF" he wins and wins SB MVP then I will consider him to be better than Favre....

(waits for the Favre cult to flame)

He will be the ONLY OB to win 2 SBs on 2 different teams and the OLDEST QB to ever win a SB on a team that NO ONE thought could do it...

props to you for not including Favre in that list though...

    no Staubach or Aikman though...

Elway won it at 38, which was older than Kurt according to PFR.

I was just naming ten better, Staubach's another definite and Aikman's always been overrated by the common fan IMO. I'd still put Aikman above Warner though. I just can't find a HOF QB who I think Warner was more dominant than. I left out a bunch of people:

    John Elway
    Roger Staubach
    Y.A. Tittle
    Len Dawson
    Terry Bradshaw
    Jim Kelly
    Bobby Layne
    Sammy Baugh
    etc.

Are you saying he'll be the oldest to win a SB, or just the oldest on a team no one thought would win? If you're saying the first thing then you'd be incorrect, because that would be John Elway. And yes, Kurt Warner is a HOF QB, and could get in the top ten depending on what he does.

    I stand corrected...

I thought that on the radio they were saying Warner would be the oldest to ever win...

Yeah. If he wins the superbowl he's still miles away from Baugh, Dawson, Tittle, and Kelly.

Warner's more comparable to Phil Simms.

Just interested, what would be your top 15 if he won it all?

man that might take some time...

I might be able to do it quick with no particular order though...

    -Montana
    -Young
    -Elway
    -Manning
    -Brady
    -Staubach
    -Unitas
    -Marino
-(here is where Warner starts to get consideration)
    -Aikman
    -Bradshaw
    -Moon
    -Kelly
    -Tarkenton (spelling?)
    -Fouts

    there is 15...

didn't give that much thought though

Completely forgot about Tarkenton too. AND Bart Starr.

Your list's okay, the fact that you left out Graham, Van Brocklin, and Starr confuses me.

    This is mine:

    1. Joe Montana
    2. John Elway
    3. Dan Marino
    4. Johnny Unitas
    5. Tom Brady
    6. Otto Graham
    7. Steve Young
    8. Peyton Manning
    9. Brett Favre
    10. Dan Fouts
    11. Roger Staubach
    12. Bart Starr
    13. Warren Moon
    14. Norm Van Brocklin
    15. Sammy Baugh

    Tier 1: 1-3
    Tier 2: 4-5
    Tier 3: 6-12
    Tier 4: 13-15

Another superbowl victory won't push Warner in front of any of those 15.
