    Surprise starter

    Omar seems to be very willing to lurk in the weeds. I think he has something to spring on us. Is he ready to go with Neise? I think only out of necessity. I don't think Neise is entirely ready so Redding/Neise is a fallback. Not a bad one but I'm thinking there is something else planned. We know he adores Manny and getting him would probably mean Redding/Neise. No Manny I still wouldn't be surprised by Lowe and Perez.

    It seems like it'll start off with Redding but he'll get replaced eventually, hopefully he does well enough, but with an injury or spot start somewhere I can see him getting pushed out since he's got such a cheap deal.

    Uh well let's see. Our 5th starter? We started with Johan, Pelfrey , and Maine. That's 1, 2, and 3. We just added Tim Redding that's # 4. So with so many righties my pick to be our 5th starter we pick up is Oliver Perez.

    Let's hope it's Redding or we are in trouble. This would mean that the Mets didn't sign Lowe/Perez/Garland/Wolf/Sheets. (anyone of these is a better option than Neise or martinez (God, NO!)

    Day by Day, I grow more pessimistic about the Mets actually making additional changes to this team.
    Gotta say, this team currently configured finishes third in the NL East.
    The starting pitching is suspect. Maine coming off shoulder injuries.
    Our starting left and right fielders are coming off shoulder injuries and concussion concerns.
    Our second baseman needs a cane to play the field.
    Hey coupons, let Omar sign the BIG DOGS.
