I'm pretty new to the board. Looking for a fresh clean start with the Nets and by no means I'm a bandwagon fan. I love(d) the Knicks growing up and I still have a big spot for them, I wish them well but I've been born and raised from Brooklyn. I remember when the first story broke on the possibility of Brooklyn owning an NBA team and It seemed surreal and straight up nuts and to go out and walk the streets and see it happening before my eyes is a beautiful sight. I've playfully hated on the Nets (Due to DoMeFavors and Wavycrott) but I'd be a liar if I didn't say I am excited to see Brooklyn have it's own sports team again and near my area.

Simple fact, is I've simply found it hard to like the Knicks at this point due to the fans (embarrassing homers, haters of their own players and ignorant and disrespectful) to certain things within the organization from ownership, commentary (Mike Breen is a disgrace) and everything in between has just been enough for me to call it quits.

I don't think I will ever hate the Knicks simply because, I've grown up as a basketball fan watching the only NY team but at the sametime, I feel inspired for Brooklyn because I've only had the chance to see 2 Knicks games and I honestly don't feel the connection to Manhattan as I grew up with Brooklyn. I wish the Knicks well this season but I like the excitement and direction the Nets are going for their respective team. I've always respected you guys, except for the DoMeFavors of the Nets community. Plus, the job opportunities the Nets are presenting to my area is simply refreshing. I never had a connection with the Manhattan area besides the Knicks. Looking forward, to talking basketball with you all.

I've seen you post a few times here and in the main NBA forum, and I can honestly say that unlike some of the Knicks and general NBA posters, you are probably one of the more intelligent and unbiased fans on the site. Welcome, and I'm looking forward to discussing Nets basketball in the future.

I'm moving my loyalty to Brooklyn from Orlando. I cannot sit around while Orlando destroys the franchise a second time.

Ive always liked the Nets back when JKidd and Kmart made those two runs to the finals. The Semi Final game against the Pacers I was all out Nets.
