It only goes to 60.
Still no Alvarez.* 51. Justin Smoak, 1B, Rangers
* 52. Logan Morrison, OF/1B, Marlins
* 53. Daniel Cortes, RHP, Royals
* 54. Jordan Walden, RHP, Angels
* 55. Ivan DeJesus, SS, Dodgers
* 56. Aaron Poreda, LHP, White Sox
* 57. Brett Cecil, LHP, Blue Jays
* 58. J.P. Arencibia, C, Blue Jays
* 59. Tim Alderson, RHP, Giants
* 60. Aaron Hicks, OF, Twins
My blog- analysis of the San Francisco Giants, Baseball, and Sabermetrics.
Here's how I reacted to the list:
1-7: "Alright pretty good so far."
8: "Yikes, what's he doing there?"
9-20: "Wow, still doing well"
21: "Ugh..."
22-26: "Back on track"
27 and beyond: "Seriously? **** this list."
3 Marlins in the Top 50. Not bad, but i think that Morrison should be in the top 50 as well he's doing really good right now.
Eh, Samardzija but no Vitters?
THE BUZZ IS BACK!

Im a Yankee fan and dont understand how Jackson is only 2 spots behind Lars Anderson, and ahead of FMart. Jackson imo is around the 30-35 range. Im happy to see Jesus make the list. Zack McCallister should be on there next year, likely at the top
Too bad Aaron Poreda is #56. I wanted to see John Shelby or Gordon Beckham on that list. Tyler Flowers is soon to be in the Top 50 soon.
And Alcdies Escobar is the most overrated prospect ever. How can he be on there, let alone in the top 8, without Gordon Beckham or Pedro Alverez not in there?????

REGGIE! REGGIE! REGGIE! Welcome to South Beach, Reggie!!!!
Jesus Montero is gonna be a stud in the majors. And I'm a Met fan saying this. Also, I believe Austin Jackson is ranked too high, and should be under Fernando Martinez. But F-Mart did have a season full of injuries and IMO I think he'd be in the 11-30 range if he was healthy. This list is very very off though...
I still go crazy on how Lars Anderson was a projected 1st round pick and fell to the 18th round just because he wanted a $1MIL signing bonus.
Montero will be a beast... will be in the top 10 next year if he keeps it up
The Orioles have 4 prospects in the top 40 - Wieters, Tillman, Matusz, and Arrieta. Their farm system is turning around quite nicely.
Alvarez and Vitters deserve to be on this list, and frankly, I have no idea how some of these guys got slotted where they did. It's more like a hype list. Since I'm from Baltimore, I'll attack what I know best. Brian Matusz might be very good in the major leagues - but the AFL isn't enough to warrant a top 20 rank. He didn't even compete in the minor leagues this year. Maybe he belongs in the top 30, but even that's a stretch until he is properly evaluated. Chris Tillman is going to a good pitcher, and yes, he's very young - but does his stuff project that well? I'm not sure it does, no matter how much I like him. Wieters could be number #1, but it's not like it's a slight that he's listed at #2. Jake Arrieta is one of my favorite prospects, regardless of team affiliation. He looks like an ace in the making.
Other thoughts:
No Alvarez?
No Vitters?
Does anybody else think Jeremy Jeffress is the real-world equivalent of Nuke LaLoosh? Million-dollar arm and a 10 cent head. I hope he gets his act together, because his stuff is absolutely filthy.
Anderson should be ranked higher
