Coach Wayne Gretzky said Ilya Bryzgalov is still Phoenix's number one goaltender.
Bryzgalov hasn't won any of his last six starts and he had to be pulled after allowing two goals in the first five minutes of play on Saturday. By comparison, Mikael Tellqvist couldn't be off to a much better start with a 2.03 GAA and .940 save percentage in six games this season. Gretzky said that while Bryzgalov has underperformed, he's still the number one goaltender. However, it'll be interesting to see if Phoenix decides to punish Bryzgalov for his terrible start and have Tellqvist play between the pipes on Tuesday.
