Columbus contemplated scratching rookie Jakub Voracek, but decided to limit his ice time instead.
"We thought he needed a break," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "But rather than pull him out of the lineup, we dropped him down a couple of lines and kept him in that nine- or 10-minute range. We had a couple meetings with him and talked about the things we want him to work on. He's got to focus on the quality rather than the quantity. He's had two great practices and he looks like the kid that came out of training camp. I'm excited to see how he looks now." Vorcek has just one assist in the last seven games.
