I'm only saying, you want to be sure the guy you are getting isn't propped up by his home numbers. To be clear, I think Peavy is very good- he can give you innings, K's, and he's tough with RISP. But we shouldn't be surprised if he appears more hittable pitching almost all his games outside of PETCO.
You are a guy who doesn't like the contracts the tie the hands of the org too much. What's your take on Peavy's contract if we were to take it on. We'd have some expensive pitchers- Z, Harden (he'll command $$) and hypothetically Peavy.
