ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota Wild have placed forward Owen Nolan on injured reserve with a lower body injury.
Nolan has played in five of Minnesota's 10 games. He has missed the last two, and the Wild made the move Monday to free a roster spot. Center Krys Kolanos was recalled from the minors to take his place.
Minnesota plays at San Jose on Tuesday. The 36-year-old Nolan was with the Sharks from 1995 to 2003.
In his first season with the Wild, Nolan has one goal and three assists.
A player on IR is ineligible to compete in games for at least a week.
