its good to have a poll with this, i put no because in a conservative offense, we need that person that can score at any moment. If we traded him, he would become exactly what this team needs

I'd say yeah. If he doesn't want to be here, get someone in here that does. Better yet, 2 someones.

Would we get players in return who would step in right away? Or would we trade for prospects?

My bet is that he's not hurt, they are closing in on a deal and whoever we are talking to asked us to sit him for a game while they work it out. I'm hearing rumors about Montreal...how about a couple picks and Saku to unite the Koivu brothers?

Another "lower body" injury. He's been plauged by those.

I love Gaborik, but I would not miss his inability to stay healthy, that's for sure.

So now we are short Nolan, Zidlicky, Gaborik, and Bouchard. Ouch.

That's an interseting take. The thought crossed my mind, but you would think they would just say, "we're close to a deal and we don't want to risk him being injured."

I would LOVE to get Saku and have a line like Vancouver and the Sedin brothers.

Whatever it would be it would be better then losing him for NOTHING in the offseason.

Well of course, that's a given. Still the question remains.
